Welcome to Awaken My Heart To Joy

Three friends--Brena, Jesse, and Ava--have been together through thick and thin, but lately things have been a little... difficult.
Afton's introduction shifted group dynamics quite a bit, but when he and Brena finally began to date, naturally Jesse could not hold in his jealousy any longer. Amidst this turbulence, Ava was forced to move to outer Brooklyn, away from Brena and Jesse, so that her family could be closer to Dear Old Gran (only less Dear and more Bitchy).
Naturally, this did not help things, and soon summer was here. Jesse isn't even around when things finally die between Afton and Brena. Now, Jesse is due to come back, and Ava isn't around to neutralize the situation. Step one: The truth wants to be free.

Awaken My Heart to Joy: A modern love story.

Sorry

I'm sorry for sucking so hard. I assumed that none of you would care, so I didn't explain myself, but I realize that it is my responsibility as a comic-maker. So here goes:
This year, I've been burdened by college apps, portfolio building, making a comic for a really good scholarship, and doing extreme AP Bio homework.
BUT THE COMIC IS NOT DEAD.
I will finish the pages sometime later this year, maybe June, when I have finished the comic and college process and done the AP test.
Thank you for your patience.

Apologies

Well, not that this affects many of you since I think most of you probably don't check the site on a REGULAR basis, but still.

I am sorry to inform you that there will be no updates this week. They will instead go up next Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And here's why.

I had originally planned to be done with these way back at the beginning of August, but due to Chloe's busy schedule and subsequent writer's blocks, I only got the pages relatively recently, and my buffer was shot.

Since I am, I guess, an overachiever (? I know, I'm surprised, too...), I have AP Biology this year. We had to read 13 chapters and take notes over the summer, and due to both the nature of the subject and my notes, unless I really focus I can only seem to do about 2.5 pages per hour. I had wanted to spread the work over all of August, but the comic didn't really let me do that, plus I have real-world obligations to my family, and I am under duress to clean my room (HAHAHA yeahhh).

Basically, this week? I will probably have to spend 15 hours every day to get these notes done. I can not even go to my oldest friend's birthday party, that is how bad this shit is. But I like Biology. And I have taken this on as one of my responsibilities; and it is, apparently, the ONLY responsibility that can not wait.

I solemnly swear to you that I WILL get these pages done and uploaded ON TIME next week (well, relatively on time, since they'll technically still be late). And they will be awesome. For real, I already started this next page and I am really happy with it; I'm gonna take my time drawing it up.

But for now I have to be a workaholic. Dudes, I have already written about 75 pages of notes. Probably 75 more to go.

Love you guys. Thank you for your (if any) patience. Peace out.

Cleaned Up

Not that anyone particularly cares, I suppose, but I rescanned all of that stuff! Yay! So now you don't have to put up with crappy oddly colored photographs of panels!

Also, I'm gonna be back in New York soon, so in between drawing more pages (I sort of want to finish them before August rolls in, even though they won't finish updating until school starts; August is my AP Bio HW month) maybe I can get out my tablet and finish the digital artwork I started for you guys~

Open For Business!

We have now officially started updating!
Should nothing go wrong (NOTHING WILL GO WRONG), Chloe S. and I shall update every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
